The Male Lead Wants Romance, No Couples

[Highlight! Written before the author signed a contract.] One day, Ye Jie gains self-awareness and realizes he is the male lead of a novel with no romance. In the novel, Ye Jie is handsome, refined, warm, lively, and hilarious. He's everyone's favorite friend, adored by countless girls, the biggest heartthrob in the cultivation world, and also its laziest genius. And yet, he has never been in love! It all comes down to his upright, uncompromising father, who is devoted to the Dao. He only wants to raise Ye Jie into a genius who can ascend, so he forces him to practice the path of emotionlessness, which he thinks is best suited for him. He won't let Ye Jie, a lovestruck young man, date anyone until he ascends. As a result, Ye Jie ends up alone in the novel, dying while saving the cultivation world, and still fails to achieve his father's goal. Ye Jie: ??? I'm going to die? If that's my inevitable ending, why not fall in love first? But his father's authority keeps everyone in the cultivation world from daring to date Ye Jie. Then, by chance, he meets a System and gets to know a self-aware, modern high-school heartthrob, a refined and elegant young man who refuses to follow the original plot and fall in love. They hit it off, and Ye Jie happily swaps bodies with him. A month later, Ye Jie looks at the crowd of girls and boys behind him, all eager to pounce, and runs for his life, crying to Chu Nan, "Brother Chu, big brother, I won't fall in love ever again!" Chu Nan runs a hand over the jade pendant in his hand and smiles dangerously. "I don't think that's going to happen." Premise: Should you accept your fate, or defy it?
