Qi Chuan X Yu Qiu
(On hiatus. I'll make major revisions when I return.)
Their identities and pasts divide them, while hardship and obstacles loom as if at the edge of a dark cliff.
On a rainy day, they meet again and remember the past. Before the pear blossoms, beneath the steady rain, at Yingzi's grave.
After they parted, one became a grimy caged bird and joined the police as a righteous criminal investigator, to protect his little one and atone for the crimes he had committed. The other, once a pristine bird, leapt into a deep pit. He hated his father's broken promises, but he still loved him dearly. When he learned that his father had been murdered, he sought to repay the kindness of his father's care and avenge his death.
Yu Qiu: "You did nothing wrong. The mistake was meeting me. If you hadn't helped me, you would have been happy."
A note from the author:
The characters, roughly speaking: Yu Qiu is the gong, Qi Chuan is the shou. Luo Ying is the little angel readers can't get over.
The meaning of their names: Chuan is not as turbulent as the sea; Qiu is not as full of blossoms as spring. Qi doesn't mean many, but grand. Yu doesn't mean leftover, but unfinished.
"Like a river, I hoped for a peaceful, ordinary life. Like autumn, that season was full of regrets."
This story is funny and heartbreaking. The side characters are mischievous and noisy, and the leads... let's just say they're awesome!
I'll update when I feel like writing, think of a plot, or have time. I have no chapters saved up, so I'll write from imagination. Originality above all.
A word of warning: don't take the text at face value (pay attention to the text on the page). If you can't see through it, that's fine. Be ready for plot twists.
The general premise: Qi Chuan arrives in "Puguang" and has the bad luck to visit a bun shop with the same name. Brother Qiu finds his earring. (Yes, it's that old-fashioned!)
They run into each other at an internet cafe and "coincidentally" live in the same building.
A person from "Yuanqi Cafe" and the scar on Yu Qiu.
Yu Qiu's father beat and insulted him and his mother. Eventually they left their "home," and his mother left him with a sentence she never finished.
Ring, ring, ring.
"Yu Qiu, get home right now."
"Oh, got it."
I'll revise the blurb later. You know, the usual half-hearted effort.
By the way, there isn't much of a school setting. The later chapters are mostly about crime.
Here's another half-hearted hint: they knew each other before. You can tell, right? Would a stranger protect another stranger? (Unless he fell for Brother Qi~) Take a guess.
I don't like saving up the details they discover at the time and sprinkling them in later. For example, if Brother Qi thinks of something while he's falling asleep, I'll write it then. I won't wait for someone to ask what happened before writing a flashback.
Theme: Find missing children and spread positive energy.
