She pitched forward, then turned around with a furious look on her face. She came face to face with the grinning green bear, and everyone around them burst out laughing.
"Just you wait, Lin Xiaohe!" the girl shouted, laughing as she ran forward.
"Hahahahaha, stop chasing me! I'm out of energy."
"Don't run! Stop right there." Suddenly, she locked eyes with him as he walked along the edge of the sports field. She quickly reined in her unrestrained laughter. Her smile lingered, and she froze there like a fool. She raised a hand to greet him, and he nodded with a smile.
Thump! The snowball hit her squarely in the back of the head.
"Got you! Hahahahaha!" She rubbed the back of her head, then awkwardly met his gaze again. He was laughing even harder, his white, even teeth showing.
She gave him a quick gesture, then ran back to chase after her fleeing friend.
A friend beside him patted him on the shoulder. "You're in a good mood today. It's rare to see you this happy."
He suppressed his smile. "Yeah, your school is pretty interesting."
