I Farmed in Ancient Times

After transmigrating, Ning Zhongxia becomes the manager of a struggling restaurant. Just then, burly men show up to collect a debt, demanding that she repay what her deadbeat father owes.

To save her life, she makes a deal with the farming System: ten years of her lifespan in exchange for a hundred taels of silver. With only a month left to live, she is forced to set out on the road to earn enough money to buy back her life...

Looking at the quiet, empty restaurant, Ning Zhongxia grabs a spatula and starts cooking dishes like kung pao chicken, spicy stir-fry, mapo tofu, stir-fried eggplant, dry-fried king oyster mushrooms, and braised bamboo shoots. The mouthwatering food wins everyone over, and business at the restaurant soon booms.

At the same time, she doesn't forget to complete her farming tasks.

She grows lettuce and gets a twenty-tael reward from the System.

During a drought at the border, when supplies are running low, she donates the lettuce and helps meet the urgent need.

She grows rice and teaches the farmers more advanced rice-growing techniques to help them increase their yields.

She grows roses and makes rose pastries, rose porridge, and steamed rose rolls.

Before long, Ning Zhongxia's name is known throughout the Xiyue Dynasty, and everyone thinks she would make the perfect Ninth Prince's consort.

Lu Jingxing, a young CEO from the twenty-first century, arrives in this world dressed like a beggar.

Afterward, he helps Ning Zhongxia at the restaurant, working alongside her to cook and farm.

Her scheming aunt tries to marry Ning Zhongxia off to the volatile eldest son of the Su family, but in an unexpected turn, it is revealed that Lu Jingxing is the Ninth Prince, with a great responsibility resting on his shoulders.

"A woman gradually rediscovers what she wants to strive for x a man who's earnest, upright, and gentle"

Reader's notes:

1. Two transmigrators + plot + farming + food. This is a short story.

2. One-on-one romance, both leads' first love and only partners, happy ending. Focused more on building their lives, with little romance.

Theme: Food is essential to life, and agriculture is the foundation
