Diving Headfirst into the Everyday Plot of Detective Conan

Originally titled: Asakusa Refuses to Follow the Usual Conan Plot

Blurb:

My name is Hatamoto Asakusa. My scientist parents passed away recently, and I was discharged from the hospital after completing my treatment because I couldn't afford the next payment.

To my surprise, a distant cousin gave me her entire family business. I also discovered the vast inheritance my parents had left me.

All I wanted was to live an ordinary, peaceful life.

But after transferring into Class 2-B at Teitan High School, I found myself in the same class as Suzuki Sonoko, whom I'd played with as a child, and her best friend Mouri Ran, whose father is a famous detective.

Later, I somehow became a detective myself and ended up living a daily life where I was forced to witness bloodshed every day.

The protagonist's name comes from the phrase "Asakusa's grass can hide a horse's hoof." Though it's usually a feminine name, he is a boy.

The main story is told in third person.
