[This story is based in part on hxek's experiences; the rest is original]
Jiang Shuo is an ordinary university graduate with a degree in marketing. His only distinguishing feature is his good looks.
But he soon discovers that his uncle owns a fashion company and that he is his uncle's sole heir.
After his uncle unexpectedly dies of an illness, Jiang Shuo inherits his fashion company, though the company is about to be reorganized.
Not having to look for a job is great, and going straight from graduation to chairman sounds amazing, but there's no way I can keep this company afloat!
Suddenly, a serious natural disaster strikes a certain region, and aid supplies are urgently needed.
The fashion company has 55 million in available funds.
Jiang Shuo makes a grand gesture: Let's spend 50 million on relief supplies and donate them! The rest can go toward severance for employees during the restructuring.
Who knew that as soon as he posted about the donation, he would get a flood of comments:
"Honey, you're about to go bankrupt. Why donate so much?"
"Oh my gosh, why not think about yourself?"
Jiang Shuo is a little confused. Still, we're not bankrupt yet.
At the same time, the number of viewers watching the company's livestream skyrockets, and product sales soar across all platforms. The inventory sells out one item after another.
Jiang Shuo: "We're really out of stock."
The masses of consumers: "Send me the label, and I'll sew it on myself!"
Much later, beneath a post celebrating the successful launch of the company's international fashion show, a fan comments:
"Sob, our little almost-bankrupt company is the best!"
Someone involved replies: "Thanks for asking. Not only did we avoid bankruptcy, we've made the Fortune Global 500."
