The apocalypse is brutal. All kinds of supplies are scarce, and food has become one of the most valuable currencies.
Countless people are exiled beyond the safe zones to become farmers, struggling on barren land as they battle mutated plants and animals, pathogens, and the forces of nature.
They are the smallest units of production. They farm during the busy season, work on basic infrastructure during the off-season, and must even defend their homes when necessary.
Only those skilled in every trade can barely survive.
And only by growing and handing over the required amount of food can they earn citizenship, enter a safe zone, and live a normal life.
Zhou Shu, a modern entrepreneur who runs a leisure farm, is reborn in the body of a girl in the apocalypse who has the same name. She drowned by accident in her previous life.
A dilapidated house, a beat-up car, three months' worth of food, and a contract to lease fifty thousand mu of wasteland: that's all she owns.
A voice from her fragmented memories says, "Zhou Shu, you were supposed to die. But since no life should be wasted in the apocalypse, you can be a farmer instead. You'll be a farmer for the rest of your life, and you'll never qualify to enter a safe zone."
But Zhou Shu smiles at the contract. The leased land is tax-free for ten years, and any wasteland she reclaims herself becomes her permanent private property, as long as she has the ability to cultivate it.
What a deal. She's in!
Later, humanity gradually finds its footing in the apocalypse, and Zhou Shu becomes the greatest farm owner, grain merchant, and landholder.
In the wasteland, everything she can see belongs to Zhou Shu.
People say that if Zhou Shu has a bad harvest for one season, the safe zones will go hungry for a month.
The safe zones all court her, asking her to become an honorary citizen, but she turns them down one by one.
A farmer can never be separated from the land.
Where she stands is her kingdom.
Where she lives is her capital.

After Retirement: Working as a Chauffeur for a Wealthy Family
A wealthy family with a century of history, an old clan with a millennium behind it.
The Zhang family may not have a thousand years of history, but it has flourished for centuries and amassed a fortune worth hundreds of billions.
The head of the family, Zhang Zhili, has enormous influence. His wives get along peacefully, and all thirty-some of his children and grandchildren are outstanding. The family is the very model of an elite family in Bucheng.
But old age has made him muddleheaded, and he suddenly hires a female driver on a ten-million-a-year salary.
Zhou Nan transmigrates from the apocalypse. With ruthless skill, she earns herself a fearsome reputation as a lone wolf over ten years.
The blood-soaked life is exciting, but not at all friendly to someone who wants to retire.
She seizes a chance to return, and accidentally saves Zhang Zhili, head of an elite family.
The Zhang family is powerful and populous, and the members don't split up. They are so desperate to become the heir that they even try to kill Zhang Zhili, giving Zhou Nan a chance to land a cushy job.
Zhang Zhili offers her a hundred million in cash as thanks.
Zhou Nan refuses without hesitation. A one-time payment can't compare to a steady income year after year.
She's not greedy, just a mere twenty million a year.
And to make sure the Zhang family's accountants can properly account for the money, she won't just take it for nothing. She signs a lifetime employment contract.
Even a max-level powerhouse can be a slacker when it comes to earning a pension.
Zhou Nan eats, drinks, and has a good time with the Zhang family. Life is pretty sweet.
Every now and then, she offers her assessment: The first wife is virtuous, the fourth wife is a beauty, the young masters are handsome, the young ladies are talented, and the whole house is full of dutiful children and grandchildren.
Zhang Zhili asks her, "Who's the real culprit?"
Zhou Nan stares back coldly. "Including you? If they were all killed, not even half of them would be innocent."
Zhang Zhili says through gritted teeth, "Raise nine dogs and one mastiff, and if one of them can make it and kill me, the Zhang family might last a few more centuries."
But wild beasts need leashes, and kings must know reverence.
With a flourish, Zhang Zhili adds a line to his will: Anyone who disrespects Zhou Nan will be disqualified from inheriting the family fortune.
For Zhou Nan, it doesn't matter who becomes head of the Zhang family. Paying her full pension on time is the greatest sign of respect.
Gentlemen, ladies, young masters and young ladies, making money is what matters.
Premise: Agriculture comes first
It's a bit outrageous. How could two such proud people allow two people to share the same body? Don't say that they are already one person. If so, then the heroine and the original body are not more integrated than they are. If the original body is immortal and allows them to coexist in the same body and like one person to see whether they can do it or not, this ending is worse than no cp. Forcing such np is very~. Of course, the previous article is very good.
The ending is very surprising but I like it very much (?˙˙?)
I blanch, I blanch, I blanch! I can't accept it! But I'm done watching it! But! I blanch it!!
I've finished reading it. It's so good. Do you have any similar posts? Woohoo.
I don't like the final ending. The male protagonist has changed from one person to two people. Even if they are merged, they are still two people. Either clarify from the beginning whether the male protagonist is one person or two people, and don't end up with two people. If I had known it was two people, why would I have watched it?
The ending is full of joy ~ the plot and characters of the novel are great!
Damn it, the chapter I read was locked. JJ is really too innocent.
We can do some more extras
Why are the conversations in this chapter all about Brother Zhen, even with old people?
I like this ending, I love both of them, they are happiest together haha
