The first time Light Source X01 powered on, the bloodied face of a young man appeared before his eyes.
This was the first human life Light Source X01 had identified.
And so Light Source X01 successfully recognized his master.
The young man, pursued by assassins, gripped Light Source X01's hand tightly. "Save me."
Light Source X01 detected that his master was in danger.
Light Source X01's cannon opened and aimed at the pursuers behind the young man.
After a burst of scorching light, the pursuers vanished in the cannon fire.
Amid the flames, Young Master Xin Wu looked at Light Source X01.
Light Source X01 smiled at his master. "Light Source Series X01 at your service."
Xin Wu was a young lord of Great Xia, on his way to serve as a hostage in an enemy state when he found a servant.
His servant was named Cang Yan, a name Xin Wu had given him.
Because his servant could not speak.
During those six years as a hostage in the enemy state, the mute Cang Yan stayed by the side of the fallen Xin Wu.
Xin Wu thought he would never love anyone.
All he needed was the power of a ruler.
And his servant, Cang Yan, would always help him.
Until Xin Wu, in agony, clasped Cang Yan in his arms and issued the same command again and again: "Please love me."
Cang Yan, please love me.
His servant answered as always: "Cang Yan at your service."
When a human falls in love with a blade,
all he can do is draw that blade into his embrace and soak its edge with his own flesh and blood,
