I raised an Evil God, only to become His bride.
At first, He was just a little octopus in my fish tank. His tentacles were soft and damp, and his eyes were dewy, like a shy child’s.
When He turned into a three- or four-year-old and tugged at my clothes with sticky tentacles,
I thought I’d raised a son.
That was until He transformed into a teenager. In the sunlight, His human skin was so beautiful it made my heart race.
I told myself: I’ll cherish Him for the rest of my life.
I was wrong.
First Instance: The Skin Cocoon
In an abandoned hospital, the hanging “human specimens” suddenly began to writhe.
As my teammates screamed and ran for their lives, the little octopus in my arms stretched out its tentacles.
Every cocoon turned toward us in unison, wailing like a baby.
“They’re saying hello to me,” He said.
Third Instance: The Mirror Ghosts
Trapped in an endless mirror maze, my teammates were swallowed one by one by their own reflections.
In His teenage form, He suddenly smashed every mirror. Blood poured from the cracks.
The twisted mirror ghosts actually knelt in a row, offering Him my intact reflection.
He nuzzled my neck. “Your image belongs only in my eyes.”
Seventeenth Instance: The House of Flesh and Blood
When He tore away the red-clad female ghost’s veil, revealing a face identical to mine,
the entire instance began to collapse.
A massive shadow fell over me.
Bone spikes pierced the church ceiling, and a tail hook gently coiled around my spine.
It turned out I was the one who had been raised all along.
A female insect’s mating season lasts longer than I ever imagined.
The Cthulhu I raised with my own hands became the ultimate BOSS of every instance.
