I Ran Into My Archrival on a Dating Show

In the entertainment industry, everyone knows that variety show queen Su Jiu and award-winning actor Mu Nanzhen are sworn enemies.

Mu Nanzhen criticizes Su Jiu's acting as "a soulless performance," drawing widespread mockery and crushing her dream of becoming an actress.

Su Jiu mocks Mu Nanzhen as someone who "creates scandals with his life," ruining one of his big-budget productions.

Their fans fight tooth and nail, while the handful of fans shipping them nervously wage guerrilla warfare every day, jumping between shipping them and abandoning the ship at lightning speed.

Soon after, the two cross paths on an outdoor variety show.

Netizens excitedly get their magnifying glasses ready, planning to dig up scenes of the sworn enemies going head-to-head and setting off sparks.

Before the show, an entertainment reporter asks what they think of each other.

Su Jiu: "Teacher Mu is my idol!"

Mu Nanzhen: "We're not close."

Onlookers: "I smell a scheme from the variety show queen!"

During the show, the reporter presses them for more.

Su Jiu: "Actually, we're not close."

Mu Nanzhen: "Teacher Xiao Jiu is adorable."

Onlookers: "I smell something unusual from the award-winning actor!"

Over the two months the show airs, the sworn enemies produce one memorable moment after another. Onlookers have a grand time finding and savoring the romantic hints. The Zhenjiu CP climbs to the top of the ship rankings, and its fans, the Xiaojiaohua, surge from single digits across the entire internet to a million.

At the end of the show, a leaked video from a fan site spreads: Mu Nanzhen, who has always been afraid of water, rushes into the sea, lifts Su Jiu out of the water, and kisses her passionately.

The trending topics explode.
