After His Devoted Persona Crumbled, the Protagonist Fell for Me

As a straight man, Xu Ruotang transmigrates into a melodramatic novel about men having children, where he is bound to a bootlicker System and becomes the vicious, lovesick male supporting character. Whenever Shen Shuli, the story's male lead, appears, the System takes over his body like he's possessed and forces him into bootlicker mode. System: "Shuli, you're so amazing! I like you so much!" Xu Ruotang: ...!!! System: "I'm so scared! Shuli, save me!" Xu Ruotang: Could you stop acting so girly? If he's done something wrong, let a bolt of lightning come down from the heavens and strike him dead, instead of making him suffer this girly nonsense that burns his eyes! Just when he finally unlocks control of his own body and no longer has to be a bootlicker, Shen Shuli, who should have treated him like trash, starts acting strangely. When Xu Ruotang is injured, Shen Shuli asks, "How could you be so careless? Does it still hurt?" Can someone tell him what has gotten into the male lead, who used to be as cold as ice but now fusses over him and gets insanely jealous? This novel features a regret-and-redemption arc. The ending is one-on-one, with a happy ending. Theme: Stay strong and keep living.
