Chu Ren knew he'd done something truly awful in his previous life, since this one had left him chronically ill and plagued by evil spirits.
To use the Paranormal Investigation Bureau's equipment to stay alive, Chu Ren chose to be a kind, dedicated employee. Naturally, he didn't refuse a late-night call asking him to work overtime.
Even though the job was to dig up a grave in X City's public cemetery.
From the grave, Chu Ren dug up a gloomy young man named Ye Tingming. Whenever Ye Tingming came near him, Chu Ren's dizziness and leg pain vanished, and the evil spirits that usually haunted him disappeared too.
Chu Ren: Can things really work out this well?
At last able to live like a normal person, Chu Ren treated Ye Tingming to good food and clothes, bought him a car and a house, and nearly worshiped him like a Buddha.
Until one day, while working overtime, Chu Ren saw a sinister sedan covered in black snakes parked outside the thirteenth-floor window.
The Snake-Borne Sedan was a famous urban legend in X City, the kind that could scare children out of crying at night. They said that fewer than one in ten people who encountered it survived.
Without thinking, Chu Ren sent his will and bank card password to Ye Tingming.
The next second, a chime sounded from inside the sedan.
Ye Tingming leaned out with his phone in hand and snapped, “What time are you planning to get off work? Do you want to make yourself sick again?”
Chu Ren froze for a long moment, then managed to ask, “That sedan of yours... does it have a license plate?”

“Meeting you in my previous life was the greatest luck of my life.”
“And yet it became your greatest misfortune.”
A fierce urban legend top (Ye Tingming) x a miserable, good-natured, composed bottom (Chu Ren)
There are past-life and present-life elements, but at heart this is a sweet little romance~
Theme: Treasure the person by your side.
