Nightmares Reign

[Original work, two very different madmen fight their way to survival]

Pairing: Beautiful, strong, tragic, scheming dreamweaver seme x posturing, habitual liar, beautiful and ruthless gong

Blurb:

People in the Zero Yuan Era are usually plagued by nightmares. Most die in their dreams, while greedy ghosts wreak havoc and humanity is pushed to the brink.

In the tenth year, when the population was rapidly dwindling, the first dreamweaver appeared out of nowhere.

A hundred years later, Qi Yan, whose parents both died horrific deaths in their nightmares, forced his way into the Dreamweaving Space.

He is strong, but he was not chosen.

At fourteen, he is reckless and unhinged, and has no insect of his own. One wrong step could leave him dead without a body to bury, until punishment appeared.

They travel through nightmares. As their suspicion turns to trust, they grow more and more in sync, and their feelings undergo a profound change.

While Fayu tries to learn about courtship instead of simply swallowing Qi Yan whole, Qi Yan thinks every day: I really want to kill him. I really want to kill him. I really want to kill him.

He wants to clip his wings, tear off his feathers, and keep him trapped by his side, never letting him go anywhere.

Fayu: What a coincidence. My people’s culture is to kill whoever they can’t have. :)

Reader’s note:

The gong is older and can turn into a human. He’s more like a fairy spirit!

Dreamweavers are an original setting. Every dreamweaver has an insect matched to them, and until their bond is broken, the insect and dreamweaver share a life.

Theme: Difficulties cannot extinguish your spirit, because you are the best.
