Synopsis

The walls of Kyoto are thick, layer upon layer. But even in the deepest part of the imperial palace, a young man can still climb over the wall and come to give him a peach blossom.

A coming-of-age story between childhood friends, and a whole lot of spectacularly bad decisions. Two boys grow from little children into men who can stand on their own. Slow burn.

Qin Yuan x Wei Chenshu (a deep, calculating pursuer who is determined to save his beloved x a deep, calculating one who is determined to court disaster). In a sense, they are evenly matched.

Theme: When Heaven closes one door, it leaves another open. The walls that trap you are not what hold you back; you are.
