Former Imperial Prince Sion, who lost a coup, has gone into hiding under an assumed name at a subordinate's home. There, he keeps falling victim to what seem like little pranks and acts of spite.

He has always thought his subordinate's son was sweet and kind, until one day he sees the usually obedient, shy young master pull a male servant who has been giving him a hard time into a corner. "That bastard is going to a party with my dad tonight. Put these stink bombs in his wardrobe."

[1] One day, Yu Ming's suppressant stops working. He pulls the only person he can trust, the Beta driver, into a room, only to watch the man calmly lock the door. The next second, the forceful scent of his pheromones envelops him. His voice trembling, Yu Ming angrily protests, "Have you ever heard that pretending to be a Beta brings down a lightning strike?"

The man looks up, unruffled. "What about pretending to be sweet?"

[2] Yu Ming thought his life could be summed up in a few words: a military family's second-generation layabout, living off his family until he died. He never expected everything to go off course after he met one man.

As he falls deeper and deeper, he discovers that behind the glorious divine authority lies nothing but rot. Under the man's protection, he grows day by day, but when they meet again, their positions have been reversed.

"Heard the news? There's a new warden. They say he's the youngest major general in the capital."

A prison guard brings the towering man, his hands and feet in shackles, before Yu Ming. The young man lazily moves the cigarette away from his lips, clicks his tongue twice, then traces a finger slowly down the man's throat. "What a sorry sight, Your Highness."

Yu Ming initially thought his golden finger was a prince. Later, he discovered there was more to it. And later still, he realized that his greatest golden finger had always been himself.
