Zheng Pingshui x Zheng Lanshan

Zheng Lanshan grew up dependent on others, bullied at school and beaten up in the streets. After a talent scout discovered her, she dropped out immediately without even taking the college entrance exams. Decades later, she finally became famous with one song, only for her company to use her as a stepping stone.

She went to see a psychiatrist, only to be diagnosed with a terminal illness.

"What are you trying to do?" Zheng Pingshui asks irritably.

Zheng Lanshan lowers her eyes. "I want you to study."

--Zheng Pingshui suddenly realizes she can't bear to see Zheng Lanshan upset.

2. Zheng Pingshui applies to the literature department she loves. On the day her acceptance letter arrives, she can't find Zheng Lanshan anywhere.

Then she sees Zheng Lanshan debut on a televised music competition.

--Zheng Pingshui stops looking for her.

3. Years later, they cross paths on a variety show.

Zheng Pingshui has become a highly sought-after lyricist, while Zheng Lanshan has won every major music award.

Zheng Pingshui is polite but distant. Zheng Lanshan pretends not to know her.

The next day, news breaks that Zheng Lanshan was seen riding in a car with a celebrity.

In a secluded corner beyond the cameras' view, Zheng Pingshui pins Zheng Lanshan against the headboard and demands:

"Big sister, everyone has always adored you. But I'm curious, have you ever loved anyone?"

"I love myself."

Only when she sees Zheng Pingshui's expression change does Zheng Lanshan continue:

"And, of course, you."
