Even Late, We Shall Meet

[Signed for publication. For updates on the process, see Weibo @Caizhou Banyue] Ning Xu had known a blind boy since childhood and, little by little, became his eyes. Ning Xu: "You have no idea how beautiful your eyes are." Jiang Feng: "But I know you won't stay for them." Years later. Ning Xu hit a creative block and decided to find a handsome, well-built life model to practice drawing. The person she found was Jiang Feng. Jiang Feng, blind in both eyes, didn't recognize her. Ning Xu: "Do you have any other requirements for this job?" Jiang Feng simply said, "Say my name one more time." "What?" "When you say my name, you sound just like her." Ning Xu: "Who is she...?" "Someone who once let me touch the light," Jiang Feng said with a soft laugh. "Then left me completely in the dark." From excellent grades to a successful career, she'd never hit a single obstacle. She never expected to fall flat at a claw machine. She pulled out a wad of cash. "This is enough to buy the whole machine. Can't you just give me one plushie?" Boss Xu was so smug you'd think his family owned ten gold mines. "I said no." Jiang Wenyu liked his attitude, so unlike that of the spoiled brats on the street, and decided to win him over. Jiang Wenyu: "Come with me, and owning dozens of claw machine arcades across the country will be a piece of cake." Boss Xu: "..." Jiang Wenyu: "I'm rich! Loaded! But I do have a fiance. He's in his seventies or eighties, and nothing works anymore. He could kick the bucket any day now. Want to think about it?" Two years later. When Jiang Wenyu finally met her fiance, he turned out to be Xu Zhuming, heir to the Xu family. Xu Zhuming gave her a knowing smile. "In his seventies or eighties?" Jiang Wenyu: "Uh..." Xu Zhuming: "Could kick the bucket?" Jiang Wenyu: "Well..." Xu Zhuming: "Nothing works anymore?" Jiang Wenyu: "..." Fine, fine, you're really something. Theme: Some encounters are destined. No matter how late, they will come again.
