Jiraiya truly deserves his number-one ranking in the Book of Shinobi.
Though he can be ridiculous and unserious,
a man like him
is someone you can rely on at any crucial moment, a man you could entrust with the whole world.
This story sat in my documents for a long time. I finally posted it when Jiraiya died in the anime, too.
Jiraiya is one of my favorite characters in Naruto.
Of the Three Legendary Sannin, he had the least natural talent, but I believe his strength had surpassed Orochimaru's.
His life was ordinary, yet he forged something extraordinary out of that ordinariness. The students he taught changed the course of the world.
So I've always believed that Jiraiya, too, was someone who changed the world.
With his love for the world, he bestowed a miracle upon it...
