You Dreamed of Me

Lin Weixi and Xie Chenze became enemies one evening in early summer.

The rain-soaked ground was muddy, cicada shells lay scattered beneath the trees, and a car sped by, ruining Lin Weixi's favorite skirt.

That was the first time Lin Weixi heard of Xie Chenze. He seemed completely out of place in this remote area. Dressed in the simplest black T-shirt, he was still dazzling beyond belief.

Through the car window, she saw the boy's strong, sharply defined features, the expensive watch on his wrist, and the cool, unapologetic look in his dark eyes as they passed over the hem of her skirt.

Later, Lin Weixi successfully got her revenge with a prank: "I'll make him fall for me, then dump him."

Everyone thought these two were destined to be lifelong enemies.

But that night, at 3:18 a.m., Lin Weixi received a text.

Xie Chenze: "Feel good about winning?"

"Then next time, you can be my girlfriend."

Many years after they truly parted ways, at the same time, 3:18 in the morning, Lin Weixi woke from a dream.

A cold wind blew in, chasing away her sleep. She dialed a number in the darkness, and the automated voice that answered was cold and hollow.

At the other end, she heard his voice, cool and detached, without a hint of emotion, yet familiar, just like in her dream.

"Who is this?" he asked, sounding tired and impatient.

Lin Weixi paused for a second, ignored his question, and said, "I dreamed you said you missed me." Silence followed, then shattered.

He scoffed and mocked her without mercy. "After all these years, that's still the only trick you've got."

She said nothing. Only her breathing mingled with the rustle of static.

In the night, his warning sounded hoarse and fierce. He called her by name:

"Lin Weixi, what did I tell you back then?"

"This time, there's no one to feel sorry for you."

But later, on the night he asked if she didn't want them to be together, his voice was the one that turned hoarse.

The final clause of their relationship agreement: Miss each other, meet up, say "I love you."

And... never break up.

Flirtatious pursuer x cool, delinquent type

(P.S. The blurb has a perspective discrepancy. The male lead did pay for the skirt; he's not that much of a jerk.
