The Deposed Empress Reborn

Ning Songyue is a male empress. He is reborn on the night before he is deposed.

He decides to take revenge on the people who caused his tragic death in his previous life.

But all his enemies end up falling in love with him.

Note:

1. A classic old trope and a revenge story.

2. The love interest is Ying Yi, a tool character with little presence, but he absolutely will not be replaced. Don't root for the wrong side.

3. The protagonist is a femme fatale.

4. This is a practice piece. Please be kind about its flaws and don't insult me.

5. Once my other story is finished, I'll come back and update daily! I won't abandon it!

Please check out my upcoming story, The Prince Consort Rides Well~

In the Great Yu Kingdom, boy-girl twins are considered auspicious, while same-sex twins are seen as an ill omen.

Consort Mian endured ten months of pregnancy, escaped one palace intrigue after another, and nearly gave her life delivering the child. But when she looked into the swaddling cloth...

Unfortunately, it was twins, and both were boys.

"Your Highness, what are we to do?" her trusted maid asked anxiously.

Consort Mian, clinging to the last of her strength, looked back and forth between the babies. At last, she summoned all her remaining strength and pointed to one of them.

"From today on, he... she is a girl!"

Thus, the infant Xiao Qi was declared a girl by his mother, and from then on became an auspicious sign for the Great Yu Kingdom and the emperor's most beloved "daughter."

After painstakingly concealing his sex until he was eighteen, the old emperor eagerly set about finding a husband for his beloved daughter.

Xiao Qi: ...

No! He couldn't marry any of those clever, heroic young men. They'd see through his disguise in a matter of minutes!

He had to find a brainless wastrel, preferably one who wasn't favored at home, was sickly, and could drop dead at any moment. Someone who looked easy to ride... easy to bully.

That way, he could soon become a widow, and no one would discover his secret!

But...

He finally found a man like that, only to discover that he was all show on the outside but brilliant within. Not only did he see through Xiao Qi's disguise, he even mounted him!

Prince Consort Yuan Zhao held down the flailing Xiao Qi with ease, coughing "weakly" as he smiled. "Does Your Highness think I'm too feeble to serve you well? It seems I must put in a little more effort."

Xiao Qi burst into tears. "Stop putting in more effort! You're already so strong, stronger than a horse!"

Tsundere protagonist versus a scheming love interest. You'll love this bickering couple~

Theme: Repay resentment with justice, and kindness with kindness.
