I've Got You Trapped

The day after Zheng Yuduo and Meng Yu got engaged, she packed her things and left the country. For the next few years, Meng Yu never mentioned their marriage, and the wedding between their families was postponed again and again.

Later, when news reached Meng Yu that Zheng Yuduo had returned to the country, he was asked by his friends when he would finally hold the wedding. He said nothing.

Everyone thought: They really are finished. Their engagement was just the result of Old Master Meng's one-sided decision.

Zheng Yuduo had barely stepped off the plane when Meng Yu cornered her. Like a bandit, he hauled her into his car.

As soon as the car door shut, the engagement ring she had thrown away long ago was back on her ring finger.

Meng Yu was just as deep and infuriating as she remembered. “When the time is right, I’ll take it off for you.”

Zheng Yuduo thought: Hah. He acts like he can do anything in front of me, but he’s still afraid of Old Master Meng. He dragged me into this act the moment I got off the plane.

But once that ring was slipped on, when it finally came off, it had been replaced by a wedding ring, binding her to him all over again.
