*My next novel, "After Becoming the Empress, I Married the Little Divine Physician" (male lead reborn), is coming soon. Please add it to your collection. The blurb is below.
[I'm rather busy lately, so updates are every other day.]
Yu Shi, a food blogger, transmigrated into the body of a county magistrate's concubine-born daughter in Prince An's domain in Great Qi.
Her sisters were jealous of the original owner and schemed to kill her. While the magistrate was away, the mistress of the household ordered someone to bury her in a cheap coffin and be done with it.
Yu Shi was rescued by Liu Cheng, heir to Prince An. She politely declined his offer to help her investigate what had happened and return home, then set up a food stall by the roadside instead.
Yu Shi: Why waste time on household scheming when making money is so much better? With my skills, I'll never go hungry.
From roadside stall to restaurant to a chain of grand dining houses, her goal was to become the richest woman in the food industry through her culinary skills and business savvy.
After a good meal, she could play with cats and dogs, then tease the serious young lord. Life couldn't get any better.
Wait, how did he take her seriously and come to ask for her hand in marriage?!

Liu Cheng often heard people talking about a new restaurant on the capital's busiest street, famed for its unusual dishes.
Meat dishes for banquets, porridge and noodles, soups and rice, cold drinks and desserts: there was nothing the restaurant couldn't make, if a customer could think of it.
People always added that the young lady who ran the place had bright eyes and lovely teeth, and that the food tasted even better when she looked at you.
Liu Cheng gritted his teeth. Eat the food, by all means, but must you feast your eyes too?

[Mini-scene]
On a rainy night, Yu Shi was preparing ingredients for the next day in the restaurant kitchen when she heard footsteps coming into the shop.
She glanced at the torrential rain outside and wondered who would venture out in such weather. Then she heard that familiar voice.
The tall young lord stood in the doorway, his clothes soaked through, looking aggrieved.
"We've kissed and hugged. When are you going to agree to marry me?"
Primarily a food story, with a little war drama. One-on-one romance, happy ending.
The setting is fictional, and all names and places are made up. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.
*Blurb for a coming-soon novel:
"After Becoming the Empress, I Married the Little Divine Physician" (male lead reborn)
Newly appointed top scholar Liang Yan was caught up in a succession struggle and died while on his way to provide disaster relief.
He was reborn seven years later as the young divine physician Liang Yan.
But the woman who had promised herself to him had married Prince Wu in a lavish wedding six years ago.
Prince Wu's mother was of humble birth, but he was still a prince, a better match for her, the legitimate eldest daughter of a marquis.
Yet she seemed to have changed so much. She had once been so bright, but now she rarely smiled.
In the end, Liang Yan couldn't resist his desire to get close to her, and used a medical appointment as an excuse to enter Prince Wu's estate.
He was willing to serve her and do her bidding from then on.
*
"With your talent, you could have found a better place. What do you hope to gain by working for me?"
The hall held only two people. Prince Wu's consort, Chu Yuhan, sat upright at the head of the room, her gaze sharp.
Liang Yan prostrated himself on the ground and answered respectfully, "This commoner has a grudge against the crown prince. I dare to ask Your Highness to help me take revenge."
"Oh?" Chu Yuhan smiled with amusement and spoke lazily. "Now that's interesting."
What a coincidence. For seven years, the crown prince had been the enemy she wanted to eliminate more than anyone else: the man who had killed the person she loved.
The male lead is reborn. The heroine is six years older than him in physical age.
The second male lead gets the groveling-after-the-breakup storyline, but the heroine remains unmoved.
[Important]: The heroine marries the second male lead for another reason, not because she loves him.
Theme: Work with your own hands, and you'll have food and clothing.
