[Somewhat socially anxious female translator X reserved, clever male boss]
One-on-one / Happy ending / Single couple / Seven-year age gap
*
Xu Tingyue carries someone in her heart, along with a secret she's never told anyone.
Nine years ago, seventeen-year-old Xu Tingyue first met twenty-four-year-old Jiang Wangzhi in an English class at her senior-year cram school. He was her English teacher.
His slender fingers held the chalk, his deep voice rumbled in his throat, and Xu Tingyue was captivated by his authentic London accent.
After the college entrance exams, Xu Tingyue got into the school she'd hoped for. Jiang Wangzhi gave her an exquisite metal rose. Its petals spread open, edged with sparkling diamonds.
"I bought this with the money I earned from my first translation job. I hope you can become an excellent translator too."
Xu Tingyue held the rose in her hands, her palms burning.
College life was full yet leisurely, and Xu Tingyue could barely contain her feelings any longer.
Summoning her courage, she waited at the place where Jiang Wangzhi would return.
Beneath the dim roadside lights, Xu Tingyue saw Jiang Wangzhi in a car, chatting and laughing with a captivating woman.
She had a brilliance and carefree confidence Xu Tingyue could never learn to imitate.

On a winter night by the sea in Manchester, a blazing bonfire and an explosive music festival split open the cold, dark night.
A blue-eyed, blond waiter ran after Xu Tingyue and called out to her as she was leaving.
"Excuse me, a gentleman over there said this is the key you lost."
Only then did Xu Tingyue realize her keys had disappeared.
She took them and smiled in thanks, then noticed the golden rose hanging from them, the one she'd deliberately left back home in China.
She looked around in a panic, but saw only that familiar, cool silhouette.
His lean, brisk figure crossed through the slanting wind and rain, disappearing into Manchester's icy night.

Nine years later, Xu Tingyue returned to China after completing her studies. She opened the door to the translation agency and saw Jiang Wangzhi sitting in a chair, gazing at her intently.
"Welcome to the translation agency, Ms. Xu."
Shanghai's nights were warmer than Manchester's.
After the celebration banquet, emboldened by alcohol, Xu Tingyue, her cheeks flushed, blocked Jiang Wangzhi at the door of his room.
"I've been chasing after you all this time, just to get closer to you."
The man chuckled softly, his voice tinged with the relief of finally letting go.
"So you have me in your heart too, Xu Tingyue."
"The moon above the sea is the same moon in the sky, and the one before me is the one in my heart."

[Female news anchor X traffic police captain]
One-on-one / Single couple / Happy ending / Rekindled romance / Opens in the present day

At sixteen, Gu Heyin was like a colorful butterfly flying into the city, alighting in this small town. Her teacher led her into a shabby classroom and pointed to an empty seat at the side.
Her deskmate raised his head, and their eyes met. The boy had a quiet gaze that seemed to pierce straight through her. With just one look, his bright, defiant eyes were etched deep in Gu Heyin's heart.
Summer in the small town meant celebrating after the college entrance exams, hot and humid breezes, scorching tin rooftops, salty sea air, and a boy's awkward, tentative kiss.
Then what happened? How did they lose each other?
Even Gu Heyin doesn't know how to answer that question.
Ten years flew by, so much time that Gu Heyin had almost forgotten the young man's handsome, stern face.
An ordinary workday. An ordinary morning rush. A rear-end collision on her way to work brought traffic to a standstill, and it took ages for the traffic police to arrive.
A traffic officer wearing sunglasses politely knocked on her window. When it rolled down, Gu Heyin froze in her seat.
She'd imagined they might meet again after all these years. She just never imagined it would happen like this.

Young love is as pure as transparent crystal, handled gently and with the utmost care.
Adult love, though, always comes rushing in, headlong.
Theme: Good love makes you a better version of yourself.
The male protagonist... From the past to the present, he has completely ignored the real situation of the female protagonist and imposed his own ideas on the female protagonist. He just thinks that the female protagonist does it, without any thought of seeking confirmation first. Does it sound familiar? It's just like describing parents who don't understand their children. They are self-righteous. Putting this aside, stay away from your boss who targets your work because of personal matters.
This kind of person who doesn't distinguish between public and private affairs...
What can I say, I really think the male protagonist is a bit cool. . .
Is there any extra episode? I want to see it.
It's so sick that this kind of colleague and this kind of leader will resign in a minute?
They all misunderstood, hahahahaha, two little fools (laughing)
Jiang Wangzhi's attention must be off track. People say they won't like you anymore only if they like you. Why can't they see it?
Spread flowers, like big words!
"The definition of a girl is never young and beautiful, but brave and free."
This story really inspired me and made me want to be a good person.
