But to Nan's surprise, after killing the zombies, Shen Cinian stood up, wiped the sweat from his face, then turned and smiled at him from afar.
Nan saw that Shen Cinian's eyes still held a light, along with a fervent, powerful hope for the world.
It was an emotion Nan could no longer understand. But for a brief moment, something long sealed away in his heart quietly cracked open.

Shen Cinian rescued someone from a heap of zombies. That person had a face exactly like his own.
After saving him, Shen Cinian regretted it a little. This guy was terrifying. While everyone else was thinking about how to wipe out the zombies, Nan spent every day thinking about how to destroy the world, and even wanted to drag him along.
So every day, besides killing zombies, Shen Cinian also patiently tried to talk Nan around, hoping to change him and make him abandon his plan to destroy the world.
But every time, Nan just stared at him with a cold expression and frigid eyes.
Just as Shen Cinian began to think he couldn't change this man, that they were too different to get along, and prepared to part ways with him,
Nan, having just finished killing zombies that day, did something unprecedented and held out a hand to him.
Shen Cinian was bewildered. Then Nan leaned close to his ear and whispered, "I've changed my mind. I won't destroy the world, but the price is you."
