The Nightingale, the Rose, and the Vampire [Derivative Short Stories]

[A short spin-off story from The Nightingale and the Rose. Enjoy!]

Before he was cursed by a witch,

Edgar was a vampire marquis who loved amassing wealth and looked down on everyone. All cowered beneath his tyranny, furious but afraid to speak up.

Until one day, he went tumbling from the clouds into the mud, becoming a penniless nobody forced to hide and flee.

Fortunately, a naive, dim-witted little nightingale appeared in his dark life...

From then on, all he could think about was taking the bird for a walk.

Theme: A little story to fill the ache of an unresolved ending
