Also known as The Man Carrying a Rock
Diary
May 30
There’s a rock on me, weighing me down so much I can barely breathe.
No one believes me, because none of them has a rock on them, and they can’t see the one on me.
Sometimes someone will say, “Then take the rock off.”
I can’t.
September 1
I’ve arrived at my new school. I can’t let anyone know there’s a rock on me.
I’ve made several friends.
Sometimes they make me forget about the rock.
A story about adolescent depression. Unless something unexpected happens, it will be a healing story.
I won’t apply for a feature slot or publish it behind a paywall.
