The blurb for the upcoming novel, Devoted to You, is below. Please add it to your reading list!
After her family falls from power and is convicted of a crime, Lin Yu, the Chancellor's legitimate daughter, once famed throughout Chang'an, tumbles from the clouds into the mire. Wen Qingshan, her fiance, who once loved her with all his heart, slaps their betrothal document down in front of her.
Everyone in the Lin family thinks Wen Qingshan is a man of honor. They never expected that he had arranged the match for his maternal uncle, Lu Min. Wen Qingshan says coldly to Lin Yu, "If you marry my uncle, I'll save your whole family."
Lu Min is the sharpest sword in the emperor's hand. He's notorious, cruel, and vicious, the sort of man who can make children cry at night. His terrible reputation would be no concern, except that he's been dead for more than half a month.
For the sake of her family, Lin Yu bites down hard and throws caution to the wind. "I'll marry him!"
A year later, Wen Qingshan regrets it bitterly. He rushes up to Lin Yu and says, "Yu'er, my uncle is cruel and heartless. He'll never treat you sincerely. Come away with me!"
Lin Yu says nothing. A gleaming curved blade is suddenly pressed to Wen Qingshan's neck, and a cold voice rings out: "You have no right to call her Yu'er. You should call her Aunt."
Lu Min, head of the Inspectorate, is cold by nature, bloodthirsty, and sinister. To him, all people are mere grass, there to be beaten or killed as he pleases.
After meeting Lin Yu, he finally discovers that there are many things in this world more interesting than fighting and killing.
For example: doing Lin Yu's makeup by day, and making her bed and fanning her by night.
A short scene
Gongs and drums thunder as the crowd roars. Lin Yu watches the stage without blinking.
Lu Min: "My lady, is The Romance of the Western Chamber really that good? You haven't come home for three days straight."
Lin Yu finishes cracking the melon seeds in her hand and says unconcernedly, "The play is nothing special. The young actor is the good part."
Lu Min looks up. The young actor onstage is handsome and refined, with the bearing of an elegant gentleman, and an expression that begs to be punched.
The next day, Lin Yu goes to watch the play as usual. As far as the eye can see, there are only old actors and clowns. The whole troupe has not a trace of that handsome young actor.

Blurb for Devoted to You
Xie Qiao is a notorious tomboy in all the neighboring villages. She can catch chickens and ducks, and fish and shrimp, too. Though she's pretty, nobody dares come ask for her hand in marriage, much to her family's dismay.
One day, Xie Qiao goes fishing outside the village and saves a man covered in blood. He's extraordinarily handsome, and every movement draws her attention.
Once he's recovered under Xie Qiao's care, the man asks what he can do to repay her.
Blushing, Xie Qiao says, "No one in all the neighboring villages dares marry me. Why don't you marry me, sir?"
Xie Qiao, who couldn't find a husband, suddenly becomes a general's wife, to everyone's envy. In truth, her life is far from happy.
In the first month of their marriage, news arrives from the battlefield that the general has taken a concubine.
In the second month, news arrives from the battlefield that the concubine is pregnant.
In the third month, news arrives from the battlefield that the general intends to divorce her.
Xie Qiao's eager anticipation turns to bitter disappointment. Since she can't win the general's heart anyway, she might as well make him suffer. She sells off everything in the general's residence, takes the banknotes, and runs away.
Xie Qiao finds herself a young man. He's not only handsome but kind, and most importantly, he promises to spend his whole life with her, with no one else between them.
On their wedding night, red candles blaze as the general bursts in, murderous intent in his eyes. He grips Xie Qiao's chin and asks in a low voice, "Qiao Qiao, do you know what happens to those who betray me?"
No one in all of Chang'an fails to envy Xie Qiao. The general not only doesn't mind that she believed the rumors and sold off everything in his residence, he dotes on her alone. If she wanted it, he'd even take the phoenix crown for her.
Theme: Don't give up lightly. Keep going, and hope will follow.
This is not the first time that the heroine has been blocked on the road to cause trouble. She just brings a useless maid with her every time she goes out. I don't know why? There are so many people around the male protagonist, will he die if he asks for personal protection? They can even have people kidnapped on the street. In a situation where the male protagonist's family is full of money wolves, Lin Sui, a young master, has no one around him, and he can't resist when someone makes trouble for him. It's not just once. He didn't get killed because the villain was too stupid.
It's all bloody, with roosters crowing, dogs and thieves running through the whole story. The male protagonist with a notorious reputation is still alive. Is he really famous for being a villain? She really has a bad reputation, even if she is dead, she will not be ignored so easily, and the heroine is also incompetent. Will there be an avenger in the future? It is really haha. I feel that the world is dark and without light, and good people are not rewarded.
Lu Min: I thought it was my evil stepmother who gave me women, but it turned out that it was my wife who gave me women. What happened to this world??? (Hahahaha, I'm going to die laughing)
Ah, the ending was too hasty, right?
I'm on holiday and will update steadily in the future. Thank you for your support, little angels.
Jian Cheng's identity should not be simple
Is the heroine too independent? Just relying on the male protagonist's favor to reach heaven? Everything has to be done step by step. You also have to consider the mood of the hero. Alas, the character is a bit ruined.
