After waking from a half-month coma caused by a car accident, Cen Lian tore up the transfer order he had worked so hard to get, which would have moved him to Beicheng's Criminal Investigation Unit. Not long afterward, a rumor spread through the streets and alleys of Beicheng: Master Cen Lian had an extraordinary gift for communicating with the dead and the living. His left eye could revisit the past, while his right eye could foresee the future.
Yu Jingzhou, captain of Beicheng's Criminal Investigation Unit One, scoffed at this. A charlatan like that should be handcuffed and brought to the police station for some ideological education.
Unexpectedly, the master really did come, but not in handcuffs. He was invited.
At first, Yu Jingzhou: Three firm refusals.
A few days later, with Cen Lian's help, Unit Two, which had always been a step behind Unit One, was the first to find a crucial clue to solving a case. Captain Yu could no longer sit still.
Later, Yu Jingzhou: Just one more minute. Give me one more minute, just one minute.
Later still, seeing Cen Lian's face turn deathly pale from a side effect, his head aching so badly that he bit his lip, Yu Jingzhou tenderly pulled him into his arms. "Lian, don't look anymore. It hurts me to see you like this."
On the eve of the final arrest, Cen Lian foresaw that the enemy had changed the meeting place. Yu Jingzhou believed him without question and headed there at once. Watching Yu Jingzhou walk away, Cen Lian clenched the note in his hand with the true location written on it. This time, he wouldn't let the tragedy happen again.
There are no supernatural powers. This is simply a man who has experienced it all, trying to rewrite the ending.
Happy ending
Strong, good-looking, skilled at deduction but terrible at everyday life, somewhat straightforward police captain top x brilliant, occasionally frail, devoted reborn junior bottom
Everything is fictional. There is a golden finger, but solving cases doesn't depend on supernatural powers. A sweet, satisfying story where the plot and romance progress together.
