Rebirth [Esports]

I used to write romance stories dressed up as esports novels, but abandoned one halfway through. If esports were really as simple as they are in stories, I wouldn't have spent so many years unable to let go of my regrets. Every player who goes pro is a genius. How many of them are remembered by name when they retire? There are so many teams around the world, but only one can win the championship. No one remembers the runner-up. Training day after day, with aches and injuries all over. Have you ever been to an esports training camp? If you think it's easy, go give it a try. Every player who works hard to compete professionally deserves respect. The league often gets flamed mercilessly over one mistake. To me, it's just a shame: they let us down, and I hate to see them waste their potential. Of course, when they're playing at that level and carrying the esports dreams of countless fans, it's only natural to get flamed if their gameplay is awful. So, here's this story. Updates will be slow. There will be romance, but it won't be the focus. It's basically gen, not a tragedy, but a serious story. The title is the theme song of S9, and the characters are mostly not based on real people. Blurb: When Xia Qingmu joined the team, he was simply called in to save the day. He was mocked by everyone as soon as he made his debut, but that didn't matter. Looking back on his short three-year professional career, he won no championships, made no name for himself, and had only a handful of followers when he streamed. For his dream, he fought with his family and chose to drop out of school. In the end, he had no diploma either. That so-called dream was nothing but a reflection of flowers in a mirror, the moon in water. He thought that reaching the top ten on the Korean server at fifteen made him pretty impressive, and that his presence would make the team even stronger. In the end, it was all just a joke. There were so many things he couldn't change. If he could start over, would he make the same choice? He would, because that golden rain was a dream forever beyond his reach... Theme: Old soldiers never die, they just fade away
