Go and the College Entrance Exam

Jiang Wensong, who had always been proud of herself, worked hard and successfully advanced from an undergraduate degree at a 211 university to a master's at a 985 university.

Who could have known that after waking up one morning, she'd be right back where she started?

At the Go club, the other students were playing in orderly fashion. Jiang Wensong alone stared blankly at the completely unfamiliar surroundings.

“How did I get here?”

“I clearly got into graduate school!”

Homeroom teacher Peng Chunsheng curled his lip and sneered. “Graduate school? Jiang Wensong, are you still dreaming?”

Facing this cruel reality, Jiang Wensong left in despair, slamming the door behind her. But as she turned the corner, she caught sight of someone familiar.

The boy raised his head slightly, his features clear and bright.

Jiang Wensong cried out his name in delight: “Shen Jing.”

The boy seemed not to hear her. He picked up a black Go stone.

His slender, pale fingers were impossibly beautiful.

Jiang Wensong clenched her fist. It felt as though her palm still held the warmth of his hand when he had taken hers.

“How the story goes, only time will tell.”

“Life is like a game of Go: once you place a stone, there's no taking it back. I hope you can face every move with a clear conscience.”

P.S.

● One-on-one, devoted couple, pure campus romance with the plot as its focus, ensemble cast, entirely fictional.

● Inspired in part by real competition cases (handled with care), but please don't read this as a reflection of reality X﹏X. Many details are invented, and this is an alternate world where AlphaGo appeared and the story takes place afterward, with a touch of sci-fi. Thank you for understanding. Please point out anything that doesn't make sense, and I'll be grateful!

○ More to come... There should be a ton of reference materials, which I'll share on Weibo, in the author's note of Chapter 1, and throughout the chapters.
