1. Kong Yunzhang was a staunch materialist, until he slapped a painted-skin demon right in front of He Xiao and called it a little bastard. His faith of over twenty years came crashing down.
2. He Xiao never expected Kong Yunzhang to be so brazen. He marched right up and laid into the painted-skin demon, both verbally and physically. In that moment, both He Xiao and the demon were bewildered. After that, Kong Yunzhang kept turning up wherever He Xiao went, like some kind of curse. He Xiao couldn't help wondering if the problem was him.
3. Ever since he hit the painted-skin demon, Kong Yunzhang started seeing supernatural creatures he'd never encountered in his first twenty-odd years. And, coincidentally, He Xiao was always nearby. Kong Yunzhang was jealous that his goddess liked He Xiao and tried to expose the identity He Xiao wanted to keep hidden. Instead, he accidentally became a big shot in the paranormal community, with a crowd of people waiting for his updates every day.
