Please check out my upcoming no-romance urban supernatural male-lead dream-solving team story, Broken Dreams; and my upcoming female-lead historical transmigration and nation-building story, I Rely on Card Draws to Enrich the Nation and Empower the People.
Zhang Miao is twenty-one years old. She graduated six months ago and is still sending out resumes everywhere, looking for a job.
One morning, she suddenly awakens to an innate supernatural ability: water. The Green Planet Protection Bureau detects her and hires her as a desert guardian.
On her first day at work, she looks at the villa in front of her, her office, and gains a profound understanding of the saying that technology makes life better.
Green Planet Protection Bureau: All you have to do is turn the desert garden under your villa's jurisdiction green, and you can retire.
Zhang Miao, who has water powers, feels like life is unbeatable (not really): Easy.
So she rolls up her sleeves, brings along saplings, and sets off with the confidence that every step will leave a patch of green.
As it turns out, she gets a sandstorm allergy on the very first day!
Her clothes are full of sand whenever she shakes them out. There are insects in her pockets every day. Heatstroke is commonplace, and tornadoes can show up without warning...
Planting trees is hard enough already.
But where did all these people suddenly come from?!
An ancient general on the brink of death
A princess sent a thousand li away for a political marriage
An exploration team with little food or water
Two desert peoples fighting over water resources
It turns out that this villa doesn't just connect to deserts all over the world. It can even connect to deserts in ancient times.
The villa is too much to handle. Zhang Miao writes a report in the middle of the night: Boss, isn't my jurisdiction just a tiny bit too big?
The Green Planet Protection Bureau, equally stunned: You handle it for now. We'll investigate.
After all, she signed a contract and is getting paid, so she has to keep planting trees.
Zhang Miao sets off into the desert again, full of energy.
The people she rescued: We have to repay you!
Zhang Miao: Keeping the desert green is everyone's responsibility. Why don't you stay and plant trees?
While she's busy, a video of a desert in another country goes viral online.
At the center of a region in the desert, an adventure photography team discovers a mysterious base:
An eco-friendly power station made up of tens of thousands of mirrors, a cross-temporal desert exchange, saplings growing vigorously across tens of thousands of kilometers, and all sorts of people...
