The Abandoned Doll Became My Perfect Lover

[A fake gentleman, real monster, dangerously obsessive, love-brained doll top x a gentle, beautiful, albino dollmaker bottom]

At some point, the world falls under the spell of "doll lovers." As long as you have enough money, you can hire a dollmaker to create the perfect lover just for you.

*

There is a dollhouse in this city. Its owner, Lin Ruozhi, has unparalleled skill, yet has never created an ideal partner for himself.

*

Tonight, a fierce storm rages. There shouldn't be any customers, yet the doorbell rings insistently.

Lin Ruozhi opens the door. There's no one there, only a pitch-black wooden chest on the doorstep. Inside are the shattered, scattered remains of a doll.

*

At last, Lin Ruozhi has a doll lover of his own: Yin Zhen. He is like an omnipotent, powerful god, yet he is nothing but a devout believer in Lin Ruozhi. At times, he even reveals a strange, feverish possessiveness.

But Lin Ruozhi knows it's all an illusion. Like every other doll, Yin Zhen has no soul.

*

At the dollmakers' competition held once every ten years, Lin Ruozhi wins Psyche's Butterfly, a treasure said to be able to give dolls souls.

That night, curled in Yin Zhen's arms, he places the treasure inside his warm, broad chest.

But Psyche's Butterfly shatters.

Because Yin Zhen's body is already crammed full of souls.

*

Facing Lin Ruozhi's fearful, trembling gaze, Yin Zhen gives him the same gentle smile as always.

"Xiao Zhi, do you remember the first defective doll you threw away when you were ten?"

"Now, after untold hardship, I've finally made my way back to you."

"Are you happy?"

#Set in modern society, not Western fantasy

[How can there be a love like this in the world?

Even without hope, it can be kept in one's heart for a long time.

The wind of long years blows against it every day, yet cannot put it out.

My love for you has no physical form. Why is it so heavy?]

Theme: Love is the only element that makes up a soul.
