A quick note about my upcoming novels: I Became a Difficult Mother-in-Law After Transmigrating to Ancient Times and After Learning the Plot, the Spoiled Little Trouble-Maker Became Even More Delicate [The 1970s]. If you like them, please add them to your collection. Mwah! The blurbs are below.
Blurb: One-line summary: After a blessed child joins the family, everyone is forced to work hard.
Jin Tiantian is the delicate darling of White Crane Village. Frail for years, she wakes up one day and somehow hears the "voice of heaven"! The Bargain-Hunting Gossip System goes live, and now she knows every secret about hidden treasures. Her parents fret over her marriage, then slap their thighs and decide: They will find a live-in son-in-law! They will choose that penniless, frail scholar!
Mu Yuanqing has hidden his identity and only wants to protect his nephew until the boy grows up safely. Yet the Jin family inexplicably takes an interest in him, insisting he become the frail, easy-to-manage live-in son-in-law. Looking at the lively-eyed young woman who is always "finding bargains," he finds her amusing and casually steps in to protect her.
Who knew that after he protected her, the little farm girl would become a county lady, while the Jin family opened shops throughout Great Qi? By the time his identity is exposed, she has become someone who can stand at his side. He came from the abyss, and she is his only light.
I Became a Difficult Mother-in-Law After Transmigrating to Ancient Times. Blurb: After working herself to death, Qin Shu transmigrates and goes straight from an old maid to the mother of three children.
The eldest is dull, the second is foolish, and the third is shrewd. Their three wives are no better, each eyeing the old lady's small nest egg.
After receiving the original owner's memories, Qin Shu is nearly angered to death all over again. Having finally been given another chance at life, she plans to treat herself well and do her best to annoy everyone else.
The Qin family is the poorest household in Lao'ao Village. Ever since the head of the family, the old master, died, things have gone from bad to worse. Then Qin Shi became a real handful.
They say Qin Shi eats three meals a day, insists on big white steamed buns at every meal, and complains of headaches and backaches so she never has to work in the fields. She even neglects the little grandson she once doted on most.
Everyone says Qin Shi will eventually be kicked out by her three daughters-in-law, and that she will have a miserable time when it happens. But then they watch Old Madam Qin grow more capable and more youthful-looking the more trouble she makes.
When the Qin sons and their wives finally kick her out, just as everyone has been hoping to see, the onlookers gather for a spectacle. Instead, they see the beautiful Qin Shi beside three daughters-in-law who look even older than she does.
Just who is the mother-in-law, and who are the daughters-in-law?
As everyone stares in astonishment, Qin Shu leads the whole family into the county town. Before long, she has become Boss Qin, the woman everyone in town scrambles to curry favor with.
After Learning the Plot, the Spoiled Little Trouble-Maker Became Even More Delicate [The 1970s]. Blurb: [Delicate Little Trouble-Maker x Stern Military Officer | The Long Road to Winning His Wife Back | Everyday Life in the Military Compound]
Cheng Baozhu is stunningly beautiful and famous in the crowded courtyard as "Miss Baozhu." Her temper, however, draws even more attention than her looks. She refuses the military officer fiance everyone envies, Huo Xiangjun, and makes a fuss about breaking off their engagement all day long.
Only after falling into the water does she learn that she is nothing more than a cannon-fodder character in a male-oriented novel, doomed to die before the third chapter. Because she finds the male lead too fierce, she is determined to break off the engagement. After making a scene until the engagement is called off, she is promptly killed off by the plot, becoming a mere speck of blood on the protagonist's road to success. The male lead not only becomes a powerful and successful man, but also has beauties all over the world.
Cheng Baozhu sneers: This engagement has to end! Putting his fierceness aside, he is a womanizer too. Whoever wants that man can have him.
She grabs the betrothal token and heads straight for the Huo home, only to be blocked at the alley entrance by a tall figure.
Huo Xiangjun has a scar across his brow ridge, his uniform is immaculate, and his eyes hold a dark, restrained look. "Baozhu, what have I done to displease you?"
Later, everyone in the compound waits to see them become a laughingstock:
"How many days can Huo Xiangjun put up with her? They'll split up sooner or later!"
"A delicate darling with a living King of Hell? She'll be crying her way back to her parents' home before long!"
Who could have guessed that Huo Xiangjun would hand over his entire salary and crouch by the door before leaving, coaxing her: "Zhuzhu, how about I write you a pledge? I'll only ever look at you, for the rest of my life."
Cheng Baozhu kicks him. "Get lost!"
The man steps forward and holds her, murmuring, "Be good. I'll buy you candy when I get back."
Cheng Baozhu, blushing, pushes him out the door. "Didn't you say you'd be late? Hurry up and go."
[Extra Scene]
One day, Huo Xiangjun finds a yellowed sheet of paper at the bottom of an old trunk. On it, two little figures are drawn in crooked lines:
A girl with braided hair is beautiful and delicate, while a boy beside her holds up some candy and meekly takes her scolding.
He suddenly remembers an evening ten years ago.
Little Cheng Baozhu shoved her last half-piece of peach pastry at him and said fiercely, "Hey! If someone steals your things, you have to hit them back. Don't just stand there like a fool and let them bully you!"
1. The heroine is genuinely a delicate little trouble-maker; the hero is stern on the outside but a loyal puppy underneath.
2. Everyday life in a military compound during The 1970s, face-slapping and taking down scumbags, followed by marriage and love. The hero is faithful in both body and heart. Happy ending.
"Cheng Baozhu, you were the one who got me hooked. For the rest of your life, you have to keep making a fuss just for me."
