(I)
Yu Mo is a young, gorgeous perfumer. Several of the fragrances she has created have become wildly popular as "man-killer perfumes."
Later, she is recruited by a luxury brand to develop a men's fragrance, but the project makes no progress for a long time.
One day, Yu Mo takes a walk in the park to find inspiration.
A huge dog across the way breaks free of its leash and charges straight at her.
Yu Mo's vision goes black. At the last possible second, she never expects to fall right into the dog's owner's arms.
In that instant, a faint, distinctly masculine scent catches her unawares.
Yu Mo is suddenly flooded with inspiration. She rushes back to the lab, trying to recreate that scent, but works all night without success.
Just then, the dog's owner calls to arrange a meeting to discuss compensation.
The two sit across from each other.
The man introduces himself as a doctor named Shen Siyan. Dressed in a white shirt, he looks refined and self-restrained, his expression utterly serious.
But Yu Mo's thoughts are elsewhere.
Why bother discussing compensation?
She just wants to hold him close after he showers, and take another good sniff...

After going to great lengths to "get a whiff" of him, Yu Mo gets dressed and runs off, vanishing from Shen Siyan's world completely.
Fate comes full circle. One day, feeling unwell, she goes to the hospital.
She opens the examination room door and finds Shen Siyan sitting inside, elegant and composed in an immaculate white coat.
Yu Mo instinctively tries to flee, but Shen Siyan says calmly, "Patient Yu Mo, what's troubling you?"
Yu Mo stammers, "My heart... it beats fast sometimes, and slow at others."
Shen Siyan gives a quiet acknowledgment, unhurriedly puts on his stethoscope, then slowly raises his eyes to look at Yu Mo. "Sit down. Lift your top."
