Morning Clouds

Ji Qinglin, heir to the Duke of Yan, is the dream man of countless women in Yong'an City. But one day, a solitary girl from the northern frontier shows up at the Duke of Yan's estate with a marriage contract in hand, becoming the newest bride of the Ji family. "My name is Bai Lu. I've come to Yong'an to be your wife." Bai Lu huddled beneath an old cloak, with wind and snow raging behind her. "You really came here to be my wife?" Ji Qinglin stood behind the door, looking down at her, his expression inscrutable. Bai Lu lifted her head, a smile brightening her clear eyes. "I came to Yong'an, of course, to bring down this dynasty and avenge its crimes." As the dynasty nears its end, treacherous ministers wreak havoc across the land. Ten years ago, a wrongful case led to the execution of the entire meritorious Bai family, and the famed Bailin Academy vanished into the mists. As a boy, Ji Qinglin, heir to the Duke of Yan, studied under Master Bai. After the master's entire family was killed, Ji Qinglin entered the court in secret, intent on clearing his teacher's name. Bai Lu, the Bai family's sole surviving daughter, hid in the northern frontier for ten years. Now that she has returned to Yong'an, she is ready to overturn the dynasty and settle old scores. Legend has it that Chaoyun in the northern frontier has warriors who live only for revenge. Wherever they go, blizzards follow. PS: 1. The female lead is not a good person. 2. Marriage first, love later; both leads are each other's first love. Core message: Uphold justice and set things right
