The Moon Says Nothing

A reclusive fairy with an unruly style x a smiling fox who's not what she seems

*Mutual pining, silly melodrama warning, painfully angsty youth fiction

*An argumentative duo who try to outpredict each other

*Neither will ever confess, so what are you going to do about it?

Short blurb:

Is there anything more foolish than a secret crush?

Yes, mutual pining. That's twice as foolish.

A longer blurb (?):

[Secret Crushes and Unknown Names.]

Luo Yue likes Chang'an.

From City A to the capital, from childhood to adulthood, she's loved her all along. Their paths never cross, like two parallel lines that will never meet.

She has always hidden in the shadows, quietly watching the gentle, graceful Chang'an, radiant as moonlight and the morning sun. She once thought that seeing her from afar would be enough.

Until one day, as usual, she sits in the corner of a quiet bar, listening to Chang'an's band perform. When the song ends and the crowd grows noisy, she's just about to leave when someone calls out to her.

Chang'an is drunk. The other band members have plans, and guessing that she's also a student at T University, they ask her to take Chang'an back to her dorm.

She supports Chang'an as they walk slowly along a tree-lined path beneath the moonlight, pretending they don't know each other, lips pressed tightly together.

She never expected Chang'an, who should have been dead to the world with drink, to suddenly lean close, her breath warm against her ear, smiling like a thousand-year-old fox spirit.

"I heard you love me?"

Leaning against Luo Yue's shoulder, she curves her eyes into a smile and invites her: "Then prove it to me."
