“Thanks for asking. I was wrong.
I used to think I could get by just fine. I kept myself at an average level, dabbling in everything without ever going too deep. I seemed to know a little about everything, and I was quite pleased with myself.
That was until I came here. I watched another version of myself cut through every obstacle, carrying the hopes of others on her shoulders. I was envious, but powerless. Only then did I realize I wasn't trying because I was afraid of failing.
So I gritted my teeth and told myself I would work hard to survive. At least here, being useless is a sin.”
The streets were the same, and history followed a similar course, but these were two different worlds. Tai Yang, a senior in high school, arrived here and finally added the last piece of kindling to the world's turbulent flames.
Tai Yang wants to survive. Hope seems slim, but her next goal is to go home.
PS:
1. This is a parallel-world setting, so some elements are based on reality while others are fictionalized. Most of the references are based on research. Please point out any inaccuracies and forgive them; I will revise everything systematically after the book is complete. I occasionally fix small issues and typos.
2. The plot is currently planned to end with no CP.
3. The direction of the story depends on how the characters act. I recommend reading it for fun. Updates are irregular for now. I'll post when the writing is flowing and I'm satisfied with it. I won't abandon it.
4. I welcome suggestions for improvements, but not instructions on how to write or requests to rewrite it. I also won't accept slander against the characters. Their actions are determined by their personalities, and they all have their reasons.
5. I didn't get the word count right in the first few chapters, so they are short. Later chapters settle at around 3,000 characters for a better reading experience. (Thumbs up.)
6. Happy reading, and thank you for stopping by.
Theme: Hard work deserves to be seen and recognized.
I was having so much fun that I forgot to write it down. . . . Come today Come today
