Tonight or Never Again

Top private equity firm Huafeng Capital plans strategic investment in Qingzhou Bank

After the first round of negotiations, the project teams from both sides have dinner together.

After several rounds of drinks, someone realizes that the project leads from both sides are from the same hometown and asks casually, "President Song and President Yu, did you know each other before?"

The man being asked turns toward the woman at the head of the table. Her expression is perfectly calm, her voice just as nonchalant. "We know each other. President Song is my ex-husband."

I haven't figured out the blurb yet. It's roughly a story about getting back together after a breakup. The leads knew each other when they were young, married early, then divorced. They reunite after reaching the top of their fields.

1. Still a professional workplace story, still set in finance. This time, the career plot focuses on strategic mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.

2. Heroine: head of a city commercial bank's headquarters; hero: senior partner at a venture capital firm.

3. I've only decided on the leads' surnames. I haven't thought of their given names yet.

Theme: It's easy to hold hands, but hard to hold on for a lifetime
