Running a Metaphysics Bookshop in Tales of the Strange

Free to read. Updates whenever inspiration strikes.

One day, a bookstore suddenly appeared on a street in the old district of Nancheng. It had a great many books, and they always recorded strange stories from places found nowhere else.

Yuan Yi ran the bookstore, but he was always encountering strange stories hidden in the corners of the city. He also had a book that could contain spirits and supernatural beings.

Some of the stories in the bookstore's books were strange and fascinating. But readers who bought them might end up having strange experiences of their own.

Story One:

Just as the bookstore was about to close, a customer suddenly walked in. She said that her older sister seemed to have become a different person lately, and her brother-in-law kept talking to a shadow in the middle of the night...

Story Two:

At someone's suggestion, Yuan Yi started livestreaming online. During one livestream, he connected with a middle school student who told him about strange things happening at her school...

Story Three:

Another day, Yuan Yi was diligently livestreaming when he connected with someone who said he was already dead...

The city is vast, and full of people. At night, each glowing yellow window is an unknown waiting to unfold. Though ordinary people may be insignificant, they are still the protagonists of their own stories. The bookstore's warm lights come on, and over a cup of hot tea, Yuan Yi listens to one story after another in his shop.
