In the forty-fourth year of Chongqing in Muying, Wang Chunyu Shenchong passed away, and the new king, Chunyu Zangrui, ascended the throne, changing the country's name to Ruiyuan. That same year, civil strife broke out in Muying. The eldest princess, Chunyu Yunqing, disappeared, while the youngest princess, Nansheng, was killed by bandits at the age of ten.
Eight years later.
In the fifty-second year of Jiahe in Linyuan, two pieces of good news arrived at the General's residence: the second young master was getting married, and the eldest young master had returned home. The eldest young master, Xie Yunsheng, was the victorious general personally appointed by His Majesty. He had protected Linyuan City since the age of sixteen, and had now served for five years. For his service to the country, he was rewarded with a return home.
Just after Xie Yunsheng returned, the Gongyumen held an alliance gathering, and he was invited to attend. During the competition, he fell in love at first sight with the adopted daughter of the leader of the martial arts alliance. They were deeply in love and thought they would stay together forever, but cruel fate separated them. When they met again, they were no longer who they had been.
