On a Dating Show with the Top-Tier Star I Once Played

Once the dating show "Romance: Pick One of Two" officially began filming, the list of male contestants was finally revealed.

Among them, Lin Yanjue, a devil-may-care genius painter, and Xia Yumin, a cold and abstinent piano prince, became the talk of the town.

Netizen A: The top-tier star rivals are actually appearing on the same dating show?

Netizen B: As a beauty addict, I’ll watch every episode!

Netizen C: This is bad. What if I want to choose both of them?

Meanwhile, novelist Xu Tanyin, whose latest work had become a huge hit, was in the middle of filming and panicking.

What awful timing.

One was Lin Yanjue, whose feelings she had deceived.

The other was Xia Yumin, who had hired her to deceive Lin Yanjue.

Could she still back out now?

Unexpectedly, they had both come for her.

"Romance: Pick One of Two" uses a one-woman, two-men filming format.

Each episode, the female contestant chooses between two male contestants. The man she does not choose watches the entire date between the new couple via livestream.

Lin Yanjue, whom Xu Tanyin chose in the very first episode, took meticulous care of her throughout filming, even raising an unhurried eyebrow at the camera.

But in the next episode, after Xu Tanyin chose Xia Yumin, Lin Yanjue stared daggers at the livestream camera, wishing he could interrupt the shoot and break the hand Xia Yumin had draped over her shoulder.

Near the end of filming, Lin Yanjue ignored the cameras, grabbed Xu Tanyin by the wrist, and pulled her in front of him.

He bent his head toward her, his scorching gaze sweeping over her flustered face as he spoke indulgently.

"Honey, what do you want for dinner? I’ll cook it for you myself."

Then he calmly turned his head and looked at the onlookers with feigned surprise. "Oops. I forgot the cameras are still rolling."

Xu Tanyin: "?"

How was he even better at acting than she was?

What Lin Yanjue meant was:

If she wanted to deceive someone, she should deceive only him.

This time, he planned to let her win everything.
