Taking the Imperial Exams in Dream of the Red Chamber

Don’t come here stirring up drama over the New Year. I picked the title myself; any overlap is purely coincidental. Upcoming story "I’m a Demon in Journey to the West", please add it to your favorites! Please give it a five-star rating! Lin Huan was three when he learned that the world he lived in was a book, a classic of later generations called Dream of the Red Chamber. And he was Lin Daiyu’s cousin. When he learned that his cousin Lin Daiyu was living under someone else’s roof with no one to stand up for her, and would die after crying herself dry, Lin Huan was furious! Did they think the Lin family had no one to defend them?! He would take the imperial examinations! Become a high-ranking official! Be his younger cousin’s lifelong protector! Taking first place in all three exams would be a piece of cake, and becoming famous across the land would be no problem either! # People in the future were all captivated by one streamer. His livestream featured: Rice and noodles, chilled pottery-fermented delicacies, and sumptuous dishes that made viewers’ mouths water. The Four Books and Five Classics, the life of an examination candidate, and the sons of distinguished families, all enough to make viewers envious. Most exciting of all were the vivid, graceful characters from Dream of the Red Chamber! Daiyu, Wang Xifeng, Baochai! They were all dream girls! It was just a livestream, right? I’ll pay! # The person Lin Huan feared most in this life was his teacher, Shen Juan. Mr. Shen was stern, aloof, and peerless. Lin Huan wished he could avoid him every single day. Until one day, he dreamed that Mr. Shen was holding a ruler and smirking. “Are you doing it yourself, or am I?” # Reader’s Guide: 1. The protagonist first appears at age three and meets Lin Daiyu at five. 2. The second branch, Baoyu, and Old Madam are portrayed negatively; no one else is. Old Madam is not a villain in the usual sense. It just means that between Baoyu and Daiyu, she favors Baoyu more. 3. Pure romance, pure romance. The love interest is his teacher. The seme is bad-tempered and snaps at the uke early on because the uke is caught in a cycle of transmigration. After they grow up and fall in love, the uke transmigrates to the seme’s childhood. Due to a series of strange misunderstandings, the seme thinks the uke doesn’t want him anymore and breaks down. He recognizes the adult uke at first sight when they meet, so he lashes out with sharp words. He sincerely apologizes in the next chapter. Upcoming story "I’m a Demon in Journey to the West" [Preview written on July 27, 2021] What’s the most miserable thing in the world? Probably transmigrating into a bird-man. What’s even more miserable than becoming a bird-man? Probably becoming a demon in Journey to the West. # Jin Shanshan woke up one day as the Golden-Winged Great Peng in Journey to the West. His mother was the first phoenix born at the beginning of creation, and his brother was the Peacock Wisdom King, Buddha Mother. But all he could do was laze around at Lion Camel Ridge, waiting for Tang Sanzang to pass by on his Journey to the West. In the hundredth year, the Monkey King he’d been longing to meet never came. In the two hundredth year, he felt hunger stirring in his blood. In the three hundredth year, he resisted the bone-deep urge to devour everything. In the four hundredth year, he tried to hold back... but he couldn’t! Good heavens, he was so hungry! Waaah! In the five hundredth year, Tang Sanzang passed by Lion Camel Ridge with his four disciples. They’d heard that the Phoenix’s son lived on Lion Camel Ridge, a merciless monster who had devoured an entire city, leaving no one alive for eight hundred miles. But when they reached the foot of the mountain... How could there be a peaceful, happy place where humans and demons lived together?! Jin Shanshan: #_# Sorry, I was starving, so I accidentally planted some fields. Theme: The road through the mountain of books is paved with diligence; the sea of learning is boundless, and hardship is the boat
