Bright Light [Infinite]

"Light shines far and from afar.", Zuo Zhuan, Duke Zhuang, Year 22

"Light means brightness.

Darkness is when the sun gives no light.", Shuowen Jiezi

As a spirit formed from gathered spiritual energy, Xunguang is no different from an ordinary person. He can't use magic, has no especially strong body, and even gets sick.

If he didn't know for certain that he was a spirit, he might even think he was delusional.

He often wonders, Hey, weren't spirits supposed to be extraordinary from birth? But what he doesn't know is that, while spirits really can be extraordinary from birth, the right time for that isn't in the real world.

Until...

People who have spent too long in the dark always take the person who brings them light as their lifeline.

Xunguang is inexplicably pulled into another world, but no matter how his surroundings change, he is always alone. He endures endless stretches of time in unending loneliness, until he meets Ming'an. Ming'an frees him from his solitude, and the two form a contract and tackle instances together...

From then on, darkness found the light.

The light in the distance will eventually rush toward you.

Later...

"Xunguang, there is a bond of fate between us." Ming'an stroked Xunguang's hair.

Xunguang looked at Ming'an. "A marriage bond?"

Ming'an chuckled, realizing he had misunderstood. "I came because of you, and you were born because of me. Our fates were intertwined and this was decided long ago. In other words, we were destined to meet. Our meeting was written in the stars."

Xunguang fell silent. For a long while, he said nothing, only quietly holding Ming'an tighter.

The System, watching from the sidelines, ranted furiously: I'm exhausted! I have to protect these two and put up with all their lovey-dovey nonsense. Enough!

Note: A goofy, non-scary infinite-flow story. The focus is on the little stories within each instance, following the story arcs.

Theme: Shine light into the darkness, and follow hope toward the light
