My next novel, The Young Master of the Imperial Examination Novel, is now up! It's right next door!
See below for the blurb.
Blurb for this novel:
Wen Jing'an is the sickly child everyone in Taohe Village knows.
He was supposed to die at eight, but his body gained a new owner, aged twenty-three.
Wen Jing'an was just doing a chemistry experiment as usual when the moment he poured in the reagent, it exploded.
When Wen Jing'an woke up, he stared blankly. So he'd transmigrated, fine, but why had he turned into a boy?
A twenty-three-year-old woman had become an eight-year-old boy!
Wen Jing'an had become Wen Jing'an!
After the shock wore off, life still had to go on.
The original owner was a farmer's son from a poor family. How could he work his way into a comfortable life?
Wen Jing'an returned to his old line of work and took up chemistry in ancient times.
He invented the Wen Method of salt refining and earned his first fortune.
And that's not even counting tofu made with brine, traditional MSG, and more.
Every one of them was a brilliant idea for getting rich.
But was that really all Wen Jing'an wanted?
The ancients said that when poor, one should cultivate oneself; when successful, one should help the world.
Wen Jing'an changed his family's fortunes through the imperial examinations and rose into the halls of power.
First he placed third in the palace exam, then became chancellor. The higher his position, the greater his responsibility.
The people were suffering, and they needed good solutions. The nation was in danger, and he had sound strategies!
For every task, Wen Jing'an did his duty in his position and handled everything flawlessly.
After a busy lifetime, the farmer's son from back then had grown into a towering tree.
The history books recorded: There can be no greater glory for a poor family.
Blurb for the upcoming novel:
An Jingbai was an archer who transmigrated into an imperial examination novel called The Chancellor's Rise, becoming the notorious wastrel of the Dingyi Earl's household.
In the original story, An Jingbai had bullied and suppressed the male lead, Song Chong, since childhood. Song Chong dutifully served as his young master's attendant, silently enduring the abuse. He also took advantage of the An family's resources to study hard. He swallowed his anger and devoted himself to the imperial examinations. After ten years of arduous study, he earned the top spot, entered the Hanlin Academy, and rose to the imperial court. His career went smoothly, and he eventually joined the Secretariat, becoming the youngest chancellor of the dynasty!
An Jingbai, on the other hand, had no interest in studying. He spent his days fighting crickets, chasing dogs, and wasting time with a pack of lowlifes. In the end, his many misdeeds sparked public outrage. Song Chong led a group of upright officials in impeaching him. The emperor flew into a rage, stripped him of his title, and condemned him to exile. An Jingbai died on the way, and his whole family was implicated and punished. The once-glorious Earl's estate was reduced to a sigh of regret.
An Jingbai, archer: Why shouldn't I be a good person?
After careful consideration, An Jingbai decided to cozy up to Song Chong and take the imperial examination route with him. But the original owner's foundation was too poor, and the gap between him and the male lead was too great, so An Jingbai chose a different path and took the military examinations!
The three military examination subjects: archery, martial skills, and literary knowledge!
Archery was the most important.
An Jingbai: An archer finds a new career in ancient times. Keep at it and win big in the imperial examinations.
Later, the male lead followed the original plot and earned the top spot in the civil examinations, while Bai Jingwen won first place in the military examinations. One excelled in literature, the other in arms, and together they created a celebrated tale of the imperial examinations.
1. There is a female lead.
2. The dynasty is fictional.
Theme: Knowledge is power
The heroine's family background is really stuck in my throat. I always feel that if the heroine is with the male protagonist, the male protagonist will bring a huge hidden danger. Secondly, if the heroine and the hero fall in love, they must show that the heroine is a woman. However, this would be a crime of deceiving the emperor, and the ancient feudal monarchs could not take it lightly. I don't know how the author got round to it later. If two people maintain an underground relationship, it is impossible for them to get married and start a family. This will be very uncomfortable for their partners, which is a bit equivalent to the modern "same wife". Although I admire her for her strong abilities, in ancient times, clan blood ties could not be broken. Unless the heroine's best relatives died, she would have to drag those best relatives with her for the rest of her life. Moreover, reading this book naturally puts the perspective of the male protagonist, and naturally I want the male protagonist not to be held back by the wife family. (I don't mean to flatter men, and I have the same view on the gender swap.) The above are the reasons why I am not very optimistic about this female protagonist.
No matter what, I still couldn't help myself and finished reading it, although the political system issue that came up later made me feel frightened (because it is no longer a matter of planting trees, it is simply overturning the land); then the character setting of the protagonist team is also quite good, but the structure of the female characters is a bit not strong enough (not that it is not strong enough, but the structure is not strong enough), because the protagonist is a woman wearing a man. If this aspect is not structured well, people will not be able to find the meaning of a woman wearing a man. But the author is still super awesome!! The novel is very interesting!! Love it!!
? I thought I would write a long, long story about Jing'an becoming a Marquis and Prime Minister.
I like it so much! I hope they can be together!
Come on! It's very good. It's better than many imperial examination essays. Of course, there are some regrets. For example, in the extra chapter, the subsequent life situations of the male protagonist and the female protagonist can be mentioned.
Don't you want to continue writing the extra?
I want to see the extras about future generations' evaluation.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! (So touching)
There is a small mistake here: 69% of this chapter "The eldest son and the second son are idiots... Only the third son is clever" and 91% of Chapter 118 "Prime Minister Yan Tong has three sons, the younger two are useless... The older one is very talented", these two places may be misremembered (just a reminder here, thank you for your hard work)
The writing is really good, madam. I have read a lot of books. The further you get to the back, the less you can see. It won't take long before it's cut off. Your feeling was really tepid at first. I only watch it occasionally. There is no addictive feeling. But there was no urge to cut it off. But since I read the first volume patiently. Just start to move up slowly. I can see that you are getting better and better as you write. Until later the protagonist founded a newspaper. I think you have great stamina. I hope you will work hard.
