Are there gods in this world?

A was an unremarkable little ghost. He shared what he thought about it:

He didn't know.

He used to think there were.

Otherwise, what could have turned him into a ghost?

Later, he thought there weren't.

Because if gods really existed, why couldn't they hear his cries for help?

So lonely, so painful, so suffocating.

Again and again, he begged the gods to set him free, but all they did was punish him by making him wander the endless mortal world. Were the gods even there?

He had no way of knowing, and remained lost in confusion.

One day, he decided to pray one last time, hoping the gods would send a miracle to save him, even if it only eased his pain.

But on that day, he was saved.

Theme: A ghost who was saved.
