Draft in progress. I'll start posting once I have 100,000 words.
Jiang Qinglan should have inherited his family's private restaurant as planned and become the youngest master chef in Huaxia.
Instead, he woke up in a supernatural novel, where he had become the demon guarding a stage in a haunted hotel.
In the book, he saw the first half of Jing Nanqi's life. Though a ghost, Jing Nanqi was kind and harmless, and was constantly bullied.
Jiang Qinglan decided to feed the poor thing properly. "Why don't you stay with me from now on? I'm a great cook."
The poor thing looked up with tear-filled eyes and softly said yes.

What Jiang Qinglan didn't know was that the poor thing was actually the biggest villain in the book. He was a fierce ghost formed from countless people's malice, and had been born without a sense of taste.
Everyone feared him. Only Jiang Qinglan remained convinced of his pure and harmless nature.
"Try my cooking." The young man held out a cake, a dusting of white flour still on the tip of his nose.
That day, for the first time in his life, the evil ghost tasted sweetness.

Everyone but Jiang Qinglan knew that the scariest thing about the haunted hotel wasn't the demon guarding a stage. It was the poor thing following the young man around.
He was the Lord of Terror, coiled like a venomous snake beside a rose. He smiled only at his little rose, and bit anyone else who came near.
The evil ghost hated the players. They took Jiang Qinglan's attention away from him, and they even got to eat the delicious food Jiang Qinglan made.
He wanted to hide the young man away in his room, so he would cook for no one but him, and watch his wings turn red whenever they touched.
"I'm scared, gege. Those players are always picking on me," the Lord of Terror said sweetly from the young man's arms. "They're all up to no good."
"I'm not like them. I'm the only one who cares about you, gege."

[Reader's Guide]
1. This is an unconventional infinite-flow story, with transmigration back and forth between reality and the book. There are no dungeon runs or puzzle-solving, and none of the horror elements typical of infinite-flow novels!
2. Two bosses fall in love. You could probably call this an unusual healing food story?
3. There's no fighting. Don't expect the uke, despite being a boss, to be strong. Also, there's a touch of the deification trope thrown in!!!
Theme: Don't waste food.
