Uncle Lin Falls from the Sky [Dream of the Red Chamber + Qing Dynasty Transmigration]

(Covering my face) A little self-promotion: I've started a new story, *Brother Huan, Here He Comes*. I'm planning to write a Dream of the Red Chamber fanfic that may be different from what everyone expects. Also known as *Huan'er, Time to Copy the Sutras*, *Huan'er, Ancient Spokesperson for Pay-to-Win Games*, *A Pay-to-Win Player in the Dream of the Red Chamber*, and *Huan'er, Drawing Cards to Write a Victory*. "Huan'er, time to copy the sutras." At the maid's call, Gu Jiahuan came back to his senses and gazed wordlessly at the sky. In a daze, he'd transmigrated into Jia Huan from Dream of the Red Chamber, and his stepmother had already made him copy the sutras twice. The first time was because he'd spilled the medicine belonging to his niece Qiaojie, an unbecoming thing for an uncle to do. The second time was probably because he'd been diligently going to the clan school every day lately. If he'd been like other fine young men who transmigrated, even if he didn't study through the night with a beam holding up his hair and an awl pricking his thigh, at least he could rise early and retire late, blazing a broad path to a comeback as a concubine-born son, a successful imperial examination candidate, and a man of both fame and fortune. Then he wouldn't have been treated unfairly. But he went to the clan school every day only because he didn't want to be cooped up in the back courtyard. Was he supposed to play with a bunch of little maids all day? Jia Huan divided his attention between carefully copying the *Diamond Sutra* and listening for activity outside. Only when he heard crying and shouting, along with someone trying to stop them, did he finish the last stroke. He looked with satisfaction at the neat small characters, put down his brush, and rushed outside. His small frame squeezed among the maids as he added fuel to the fire and fanned the flames. At last, Madam Wang relented. Baoyu took the blame, and the real Jia Huan shouted for everyone to follow him out and beat someone up. He was already in a bad mood, and nothing was going right. Then some bastard came right to him. Jia Huan clenched his fists until they crackled. This was the perfect chance to teach the fellow why flowers are red. He couldn't do anything about the disaster of his family being confiscated, but he could certainly deal with one bastard. If you're interested, come take a look! I hope you'll add it to your library. Sending lots of love!!!! The story is underway! If you can, please support the official release. Thank you so much, mwah! Also known as *The Dream of the Red Chamber Countdown*, *Transmigration These Days Is All About Mixing Genres*, and *Uncle Lin Fell from the Sky*. In the forty-third year of the Kangxi reign, the spring chill still lingered. Outside the Jia residence stood a shabbily dressed, dusty man, thinly clad and claiming to be the paternal uncle of a young lady related to the household. He didn't even have a calling card, let alone a few copper coins to grease someone's palm. Looking like a complete down-and-out, wasn't he just trying to sponge off the family? Ever since the eldest young lady of the household had been made an imperial consort, poor scholars seeking their patronage had been a dime a dozen. Naturally, no one wanted to bother with someone this poor. When the man still hadn't left after a long while, an impatient gatekeeper shoved him. He fell, striking his head against a stone. When Lin Zizhen woke up, he was utterly bewildered. P.S. As I kept writing, I realized there might not be a female lead after all. So once again, this is going to be a no-CP story!! (I'm sorry. Readers, please take note.) This story came from a brainstorming session, just for fun. Let's all have a laugh as we read. I won't bash Lin Daiyu or Miss Baochai. I'm working hard to create a male lead who understands the ways of the world without becoming worldly, who has endured all kinds of suffering and still has a warm heart. Yeah, let's go… Please add it to your library!!!!!! Theme: Live each day earnestly and strive to improve.
