Just as food blogger Wu Xirou was starting to make a name for herself, an accident caused her to transmigrate to the Wei Kingdom, where she became a refugee caught between two warring nations.
Fortunately, she was taken in while fleeing and became the Hu family's adopted daughter.
To secure her place in the Hu household, Wu Xirou gave it everything she had. She could fry, stir-fry, boil, and roast with the best of them. Before long, she'd grown her little food stall into a thriving business and become head chef at the Top Fragrance Tower, the largest restaurant in Xiangcheng.
Yet from a second-floor window in the Top Fragrance Tower, a pair of eyes watched her constantly. The owner even tracked her for thousands of miles, all to make her repay something very important.
Wu Xirou earned money while keeping her creditor at arm's length. Once she'd built up enough capital and connections, she vanished from Xiangcheng without a trace, leaving her creditor utterly bewildered.
Sun Zixian: Wu Xirou, you little thief! Stealing something wasn't enough, now you want to deny that you owe me?

After years of hard work, Wu Xirou's wealth had grown considerably, and she was no longer intimidated by her creditor. She also realized he wasn't quite as annoying as she'd thought. After all, he'd helped her through more than half the hardships she'd faced over the years.
Wu Xirou: Was all this really necessary over one thing?
Sun Zixian: If you can steal something while you're at it, why can't I steal someone while I'm at it?
Wu Xirou thought he was joking. But when she woke up one day, she saw banners fluttering outside her window and hundreds of armored guards waiting with betrothal gifts.
"We have come under the Regent's orders to welcome the Princess Consort to the residence!"
Wu Xirou: ???

--Blurb follows--
Duan Xingyun was ordered by his master to deliver a letter to Luoyang. Before he left, his master told him there were two people in Luoyang he mustn't provoke: one called "Cold Yama," and the other "Thunderbolt."
The one called "Thunderbolt" was especially skilled in Buddhist meditation. If he encountered her, he absolutely had to keep his distance.
There were plenty of people in the martial world who were best left alone, so Duan Xingyun didn't think much of it. That was, until he met the one called "Thunderbolt" and discovered she was a woman.
He'd always heard that Shaolin monks were skilled in meditation. Could this woman be a nun?
Only after getting to know her did Duan Xingyun realize his master hadn't meant meditation. He meant she was impossible to shake off.
She was truly one of the most troublesome people in the world.
From then on, he found himself saddled with a young lady who could make his life hell.

Theme: Strive forward and fear no hardship
Good looking, good looking, come on
This plot is a bit nonsense.
Regarding the handling of the jade pendant, I really cannot agree with the heroine's behavior. No matter what, she should not fool her with a fake one.
This is a bit far-fetched, isn't it? Ancient jade pendants were often used as status symbols. This is common sense. The heroine shouldn't know this, and the hero also hinted at it earlier. Shouldn't she tell the hero and ask him to redeem it with money?
Men are crafty
Good-looking, good-looking, looking forward to the next article?
I don't know what to say, come on...
It's not bad to travel back in time and meet such a father.
