After Losing His Memory, the Mad Villain Came Looking for Me

[Lu Qi: Before you lost your memory, you were the kind of heartless bastard who slept with someone and ran.]

[Su Mu: ? Just because I've lost my memory doesn't mean you can make things up.]

Su Mu works at a space station. When he enters a small world, an unknown force strikes him and makes him lose his memory.

Knowing nothing, he starts searching the world for the so-called protagonists and villains.

Then the deranged villain mistakes him for his beloved's replacement.

After that, he discovers that this world is one giant chessboard.

Before losing his memory, he defied fate and made his amnesiac self the most important chess piece.

And then...

[Huh? How come this beloved of yours seems to be me?]

A few little tips:

This isn't a power-up story, nor is it hardcore cultivation. The cultivation system is still based on the oldest theory of spiritual roots.

Su Mu x Lu Qi, one-on-one, plot-driven, with an effort to keep the logic consistent. Research buffs, please go easy on me.

There will be split-off versions, but they're mainly there to serve the plot rather than the romance. You can look forward to uncovering the rest as the story goes on.

Neither the love interest nor the protagonist is perfect. They each have their own flaws, but I hope they'll gradually become better people over the course of the story.

I haven't written for a while because I was ill, so it took a lot of courage to start a new story this time.

I currently have 150,000 words in reserve. I'm unemployed and recuperating while revising and building up my backlog, so feel free to wait until there's more to read.
